The 2005 Billabong Pro at Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The event was won by Kelly Slater (USA) in the dying seconds of the final. Slater defeated arch rival Andy Irons (HAW)in the final. Irons was walking up the beach thinking he had won when Slater caught his last wave, scoring enough points to clinch victory.
