Today, the Frenchman put the rest of the draw on notice, first eliminating wildcard Manoa Drollet (PYF) before posting the highest heat total of the event, a 19.76 out of a possible 20, for a brilliant backhand tube-riding approach to take out Josh Kerr (AUS), 25, in the final heat of the day.. This event is the last World Championship event of the year and will decide the 2009 World Tilte between Joel Parkinson (AUS) and Mick Fanning (AUS)...The northern hemisphere winter months on the North Shore signal a concentration of surfing activity with some of the best surfers in the world taking advantage of swells originating in the stormy Northern Pacific. Notable North Shore spots include Waimea Bay, Off The Wall, Backdoor, Log Cabins, Rockpiles and Sunset Beach...
